Aplicação

Sodium iodide was used as a component in the preparation of Mayer′s hematoxylin stain solution.[2]
It may be used in the following processes:

Precursor in the polymerization of butyl acrylate.[3]

Chaotropic agent in the extraction of DNA.[4]

Deprotecting agent in the removal of N-tert-butyloxycarbonyl group in amino acids.[5]

Water-soluble fluorescence quenching reagent.[1]
